NIH Award Expands Landmark Alzheimer’s Biomarker Study
The National Institutes of Health (NIH) has announced that the Alzheimer’s Disease Neuroimaging Initiative (ADNI) will receive an award of approximately $40 million over the next five years. ADNI’s new launch, called ADNI3, will use innovative technologies in brain imaging and develop new ways to speed clinical trials by providing researchers with the biomarkers needed to detect and track the progression of Alzheimer’s disease.
