On December 7, 2020, ACT-AD held a webinar on cutting-edge research on Lewy Body dementia (LBD). The webinar will cover LBD as a priority for drug development, the genetic overlap between LBD and other forms of dementia, and LBD biomarkers.

Todd Graham

Todd Graham is an Executive Director at the Lewy Body Dementia Association (LBDA). He joined the LBDA staff as Vice President, Institutional Advancement after having served on LBDA’s Board of Directors for six years as Vice President of the Board and Head of the Scientific Affairs Committee, and on the Marketing Communications and Development committees.

James Galvin, M.D., MPH

James E. Galvin, MD, MPH, is a professor at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. He is founding Director of the Comprehensive Center for Brain Health and professor of nursing at the Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing, Florida Atlantic University.

Rita Guerreiro, Ph.D.

Rita Guerreiro, Ph.D. is a leader in parsing the genetic variations that contribute to neurodegenerative diseases. In 2018, she joined Van Andel Institute’s Center for Neurodegenerative Science as an associate professor.

José Brás, Ph.D.

José Brás, Ph.D. is a leading molecular geneticist whose research focuses on how genetic variability impacts the onset and progression of neurodegenerative diseases. Dr. Brás joined Van Andel Institute’s Center for Neurodegenerative Science as an associate professor.

Doug Galasko, M.D.

Doug Galasko, M.D. is the associate director of the UC San Diego Shiley-Marcos Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center and has carried out research into Alzheimer’s and related disorders for over 25 years. He is also board-certified in neurology, with special expertise in memory disorders.
